He turned to her
still asleep
her hair
spread out
across the pillow
the rise and fall of her chest
as it takes her breath
the way her mouth is slightly open
comfortable and safe
He wants nothing more
then for her to always be there
when he wakes up

to have her always safe and happy
he'd give anything
for her
and he has
When she wakes
he'll smile
and tell her to go back to sleep

She'll wake up
just to know
that he's asleep beside her
still ok
she loves the way he snores
slightly
and the way his face looks
so innocent
When he wakes up
she pretends
to be asleep
so that he can lean in and kiss her lips
and brush his hand
against her cheek
and watch her
go back to sleep
